Q1. How does the app find the base form when I type a conjugation like "도와" or "그래"?
The app ships with over 600,000 pre-generated conjugation mappings. It handles every Korean conjugation paradigm including ㅂ, 르, ㅎ, and ㄷ irregulars automatically.
Q2. Does it work offline?
Yes. The dictionary data (56,556 headwords, 826K definitions, 594K examples) is bundled with the app. All core features — search, bookmarks, definitions — work fully offline. Pronunciation audio and some images stream from KRDict's servers.
Q3. How do I back up my bookmarks?
Currently, bookmarks are stored locally in the device's SQLite database. iCloud sync is planned for v1.1+.
Q4. Can I hide ads?
v1.0.1 is the free, ad-supported version. A Pro subscription to remove ads is planned for v1.1+.
Q5. Are definitions only in English?
No — definitions are shown in 11 languages simultaneously (English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Russian, French, Spanish, Arabic, Mongolian, Indonesian). Open any word detail page to see all languages side by side.
Q6. I bookmarked a word but it doesn't show up.
Known issue in v1.0.1. Close and reopen the app to refresh. v1.0.2 will fix this for instant updates.
Q7. What kinds of search terms work best?
Korean (headword or conjugation), Romanization (e.g., "meokda" → 먹다), and English definitions (e.g., "to eat" → 먹다) are all supported.
Q8. There seems to be a data error.
The dictionary data is derived from the National Institute of Korean Language Basic Korean Dictionary. Report processing errors via GitHub Issues. For errors in the original source, please report to KRDict directly.

본 앱은 60만 개 이상의 활용형 매핑을 미리 생성해 두었습니다. ㅂ·르·ㅎ·ㄷ 불규칙을 포함한 모든 활용 paradigm을 자동으로 처리합니다.
Q2. 인터넷 없이 동작하나요?
네. 사전 데이터(56,556 표제어, 80만 정의문, 60만 예문)는 앱 설치 시 기기에 함께 저장됩니다. 검색·단어장 등 모든 핵심 기능이 오프라인 동작합니다. 단, 발음 오디오와 일부 이미지는 KRDict 서버에서 스트리밍합니다.
Q3. 단어장은 어떻게 백업하나요?
현재 단어장은 기기 내 SQLite에만 저장됩니다. iCloud 동기화는 v1.1+ 로드맵에 포함됩니다.
Q4. 광고를 숨길 수 있나요?
v1.0.1은 광고 지원 무료 버전입니다. v1.1+에서 Pro 구독을 통해 광고를 숨길 예정입니다.
Q5. 단어 정의가 영어로만 나오는 게 아니던가요?
정의는 11개 언어(영어, 일본어, 중국어, 베트남어, 태국어, 러시아어, 프랑스어, 스페인어, 아랍어, 몽골어, 인도네시아어)가 동시에 표시됩니다. 단어 상세 페이지를 열면 모든 언어 정의가 나란히 보입니다.
Q6. 단어장에 추가했는데 보이지 않습니다.
v1.0.1에서 알려진 이슈입니다. 앱을 종료한 후 다시 실행하면 새로 추가한 항목이 표시됩니다. v1.0.2에서 즉시 갱신되도록 수정 예정입니다.
Q7. 어떤 검색어가 가장 잘 찾히나요?
한글(표제어 또는 활용형), 로마자(예: "meokda" → 먹다), 영어 정의(예: "to eat" → 먹다) 모두 지원합니다.
